Open Meetings comprise a talk by a guest speaker, followed by any announcements and finally refreshments. This gives members the opportunity to enquire about group activities, new groups and forthcoming events. The meetings usually occur at the Chard Guildhall, but in some summer months (e.g. June, July, August) the venue is Horton Village Hall. The meetings are open to non-members.
