Our 30th Anniversary
The 30th anniversary of the Chard, Ilminster and District u3a was celebrated with a Talent Show at the Chard Guildhall on 24th September 2025.
Over 100 people attended and enjoyed a fun and fantastic afternoon, with diverse performances presented by our members. From guitarists to badminton players, table tennis to play reading, some funny, some serious and even some for feline fanciers.
The audience reaction and feedback has encouraged us to repeat the exercise next year. Fancy joining in?

Interest Groups Online (IGO) - The Virtual u3a
Interest Groups Online (IGO) is an online only u3a community launched in April 2020. It might be considered the "virtual U3A". To browse its website, click on the link Interest Groups Online. Chard, Ilminster and District u3a members can join but an additional subscription fee of £12 is required.
Third Age Trust
Third Age Trust is the parent organisation to which other u3a's are affiliated. Visit Third Age Trust to view the latest newsletter from u3a National office. It is interesting to see what news other u3a's have from around the country.
u3a matters magazine
The u3a Matters magazine, is posted to all u3a members five times per annum. It is full of interesting articles. This is presently included in the annual membership renewal fee. If you wish to unsubscribe from this, please visit Members Portal or contact the Membership secretary.
