4th Thursday of each month
Venue: Leader's Home

My aim is to create a small social community who are interested in Knot Tying, to share knowledge and experience amongst the group in a social setting. We can make things (such as mats, bell ropes, key fobs, bracelets with cord - the list is endless). we can learn new knots while we chat and have a cuppa; the reference books that I own are full of lovely details of this old sailors craft that goes back to the days of sail! I am certainly not an expert at tying knots but I get a lot of satisfaction when I have mastered a new knot. Like any artisan craft, Knot Tying combines knowledge and skill with creative flair, while engaging the brain and improving manual dexterity - skills we all need to keep exercising to stay young at heart!
